Breakfast with Solomon - Proverbs 24:6

Proverbs 24:6

"For by wise guidance you will wage war, in abundance of counselors there is victory"

The older that I get, the more I notice that people who consistently make good decisions are those who get as much advice as they can. They try and get advice from reliable sources and then evaluate its ability to deal with all the factors.

Many people want to make a certain decision and so begin to lean in the direction of their feelings before they really check out all the directions. If you follow your feelings, then you will often be wrong.

Realize that making a major advance in life is like waging war against your desires and convenient lifestyle. It will take some advanced planning before you just launch into a diet plan or going back to school or moving your marriage forward significantly. It does take time and you will, at times, move in a different direction ultimately than you thought you might at the beginning.

Until tomorrow,

Gil Stieglitz
