"I walk in the way of righteousness, in the midst of the paths of justice"
It is important to realize that this is wisdom talking, not God. The wise course is the one in the midst of the righteous way. If you have to be shady to accomplish something, then it cannot be the wise course.
A caveat is that wisdom is not following your feelings or making others feel good; it is objective and shrewd. It makes sure that justice is done. Someone stabbed in the back will come back to bite you. So many people believe that the only way to get ahead is to cheat people and to play at the edges of what is right. This is not the biblical way of wisdom.
It is, however, unconventional wisdom to walk down the middle of the morally right path and stick with it.
