Maintaining a Healthy Attitude at Work Series. Part 5—Hope

I'm back to wrap up my series on Maintaining a Healthy Attitude at Work. So far we'velearned the other 4 H's: Happy, Helpful, Humble and Hungry. Easy to remember, right? If you missed them, be sure to catch up on them at ptlb.com.

The last aspect of maintaining a healthy perspective at work is the concept of HOPE, which I put in here knowing that job situations and income can change for you. My best advice is to never give up hope. Pray, watch, and wait. Circumstances will change. It is almost impossible to live in our society without some hope for future peace, grace, mercy.

First Corinthians 13:13 tells us, "And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love." That means that faith, hope, and love are the three strongest surviving inner-attitude commitments. Possessing faith, hope, and love can override job dissatisfaction, an uncertain future, and tumult at work.

Also, we can look to the future instead of our current situation, where the Bible tells us in 1 Corinthians 2:9,

However, as it is written:

“What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived" the things God has prepared for those who love him.

We just don't know what God has in store for us, but we know that He has something good. Besides, whatever you have or don’t have now, Heaven is better. Keep the faith and keep hope alive. You will perform better in the here and now, knowing that your Heavenly Father cares for you, and He will be reward immeasurably for eternity.

Thank you for reading my series. May God bless you above and beyond what you could ask for or imagine.

Serving Him,
