Breakfast with Solomon - Proverbs 18:21

"Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit"

This is such an important verse. We really create the climate we dwell in through the words and phrases that we use about the people in our life. We create the hell or the heaven that is our lot by how much we dig for the good and express it through our words.

This verse also carries with it a little nuance about how to fulfill the next verse (Proverbs 18:22 - He who finds a wife finds a good thing and obtains favor from the Lord). If you use words and encouragement as a life-giving force into the life of your wife, you will be truly blessed.

If you understand the difference that comes from a kind word rather than an "honest" or angry word or phrase; when you treat those around you with the respect, dignity, and warmth that they deserve and or need, then you begin to create a whole new climate for you to dwell in. Don't forget to always have kindness and truth around your neck for you will find favor with God and man.

Until tomorrow,

Gil Stieglitz
